The Rossetti Archive is a digital project that aims to honor the legacy of one of the most influential artists of the Victorian era, Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Rossetti was a leading member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, a group of artists and poets who rejected the academic conventions of their time and sought inspiration from the medieval past and nature.

As a terminal user of RightMove I've learned to truly appreciate a well-designed home, there's something about a unified home aesthetic that is able to lure anyone in. When I was asked to design an estate agents site, and given a set of sites they  wanted me to capture the look of I leapt at the opportunity.

Coeus is a minimal design built around a generative art experiment, I spend a lot of time working on generative art,  and in general, messing around with what's possible with programming. After discovering Clifford attractors an idea  hit me of how to incorporate it into a design and this is the result.

Random-seedable is an open-source collection of random number generators written in JavaScript with built-in support for Typescript. I built it up over a number of weeks while trying to gather a greater understanding of modern seedable random number generators. Its current audience is developers writing games, generative artists, and is now used as part of Microsofts' FluentUI.

Originally started to help get my head around attention mechanisms, this small project implements several versions of attention backed by conventional RNNs. I created a complete demo that enables you to explore the attention mechanism by dropping selected tokens from the input. This makes it simple to observe the impact of including or excluding different words on both the attention calculation and the final prediction.

QANet was a top-performing Question Answering Network on the SQUAD dataset until it was surpassed by BERT. I created my own version using the original paper as there was no open-source implementation available. My implementation achieved the same results as the paper and even exceeded it with the addition of contextual embeddings and part-of-speech tags. Features include pre-trained checkpoints, options for resource-efficient training, and a live demo.

The direct answering of open-ended questions is the next stage in conversational AI and search engines. In my Master's thesis,  I took on this challenge and developed a question-answering chatbot using deep learning. Which I tackled by breaking  the problem down into a sequence of simple retrieval problems.

An open-source robots.txt parser designed for use in web scraping or crawling projects running on Node.js.  Originally developed from a hobby project, I've improved and built upon it over the years, introducing TypeScript typings, additional features, as well as bug fixes, and general maintenance. With three revisions, weekly downloads anywhere between 1000 - 2000, and over 300,000 lifetime downloads, it has proven to be a  successful project that filled a niche.


Robots.txt parser

For my Bachelor's degree dissertation project, I designed and developed an autonomous drone platform utilizing the Robotics Operating System (ROS). This platform had the ability to execute takeoffs, landings, and navigate accurately along a series of waypoints, covering distances of over 100 meters while staying within a user-defined geo-fenced area.
